STANFIELD FALL XC 5K RUN/WALK, 7 a.m. late registration and check-in begins, race begins 9 a.m. Eight age groups will be awarded prizes, ribbons and plaques for top finishers. ?FALL IS IN THE AIR? MEETING AND FLOWER SHOW, 8-10 a.m. flower show registration, noon lunch, Milton-Freewater Community Building, 109 N.E. Fifth St., Milton-Freewater. The fall district meeting for the Milton-Freewater Garden Club includes a flower and plant show and country store. Free and open to the public (catered lunch served by reservation only). IRRIGON CHILDREN?S PARK GROUNDBREAKING, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., just east of Don Baxter Skate Park in the 400 block of Main Street, Irrigon. A ceremony will be performed by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, and Rep. Greg Smith will speak, among others. A fun house, face painting and other activities for kids will be provided; raffles and a drawing for a Civil War chess set will be held. A barbecue and cake also will be served. INDOOR MOTORCYCLE SHOW, 1 p.m., Hermiston Eagles Lodge, 160 N.W. Second St. Admission is free and there is a $15 donation to enter bikes in the show; several categories will be judged. ?TURKEY SEASON,? 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Pilot Rock Gun Club, 67221 RA Kock Road, Pilot Rock. Shoot clay pigeons for a chance to win one of 200 turkeys and play bingo or Scatterboard for prizes. Cost is $6.50 per five-shot round for adults, $20 for 25 shots for youth. Free chicken and noodle lunch. Grand prize at the youth shoot, for ages 14 and under, is a Weatherby youth shotgun.
