AARP to offer multiple driver safety courses

PENDLETON An AARP-sponsored driver safety class is planned later this month in Pendleton. The course will be offered Friday, Aug. 19 from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 20 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Pendleton City Hall Community Meeting Room, 500 S.W. Dorion Ave.

A certificate will be given to all who complete the class, and it can be given to insurance agents for possible discounts. The class is open to all, but is aimed at senior citizens. The cost is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members.
