Loving Warriors open arms to veterans

MILTON-FREEWATER – Retired Army Reserve Chaplain Ole Oleson is forming a group for family members of those who have served in combat. Loving Warriors will offer people books to read and a safe place to better understand and love the warriors when they return.
The first meeting will be at 7 p.m. Jan. 30 at the Oleson home. For directions and information, call 861-0992.

“Warriors have been coming home since the Trojan War and long before,” Oleson said “Among us today are combat veterans from World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm and now Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. And there are other armed conflicts, both named and forever unnamed that have left our warriors filled with memories.”
