Brent and Rhianna Pitney

HERMISTON – Rhianna Lynn Taft and Brent Michael Pitney were married May 11, 2002, at Lake Tahoe.

Ronald Z. Sayed presided at the double-ring ceremony.

The bride wore an A-line dress with a scoop neck and chapel-length train and rhinestones in a floral pattern.

Her tiara rhinestones were also arranged in a floral pattern. She carried a bouquet of red roses, white tulips and lilies.

Maid of honor was Amy L. Gabrielson of Boise. Bridesmaids were Ashley B. Rideout of Athena, Brittney L. Jackson of Pendleton, Jeannie A. Peters of San Diego, Calif., and Breanne L. Rideout of Athena.

Flower girl was Mazie R. Jackson of Pendleton.

Best man was Troy M. Pitney of Seattle. Groomsmen were Gary Mellick of Yakima, Doug Gilmore of Seattle, Jesse Todhunter of Pullman and Mike Fitch of Seattle.

The bride is the daughter of Deborah Gayle and James Lowell Taft of Umatilla.

She is a 1995 graduate of Umatilla High School and has attended Fort Lewis College and Washington State University.

Pitney, the son of Shelley and David Knerr of Hermiston, is a 1995 graduate of Hermiston High School and a 2001 graduate of Washington State University.

He is a supervisor for Knerr Construction.

Following a wedding trip to Carmen del Playa, Mexico, the couple resides in Hermiston.
