PENDLETON Joseph Vance Wilson, 77, of Pendleton died Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at Willowbrook Terrace in Pendleton. Services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Pendleton. Interment will be in Olney Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Pendleton Pioneer Chapel, Folsom-Bishop, 131 S.E. Byers Ave., Pendleton.
Mr. Wilson was born Nov. 8, 1933, in Logan, Utah, to LeMoyne and Ada (Hansen) Wilson. He earned a bachelors degree in agronomy from Utah State University and worked as a soil scientist for the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

He married Conie McKean in 1961 in Ogden, Utah. The Wilsons moved to Pendleton in 1974.
Survivors include his wife, Conie Wilson of Pendleton; sons Brian Wilson and Blair Wilson, both of Seattle, and Chadd Wilson of Walla Walla; brothers Scott Wilson of Logan, Utah, Ross Wilson of Brigham City, Utah, James Wilson of Bear Lake, Utah, and Judd Wilson of Providence, Utah; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, LeMoyne and Ada Wilson.
