HERMISTON — A rollover late Monday, April 14, on Interstate 82 near Hermiston left one man dead.
Oregon State Police reported Donald James Drouillard, 35, of Hermiston, died at the scene.
Drouillard was driving a Toyota 4Runner eastbound on I-82. At 11:42 p.m. he failed to navigate a curve near milepost 10 near the intersection with I-84, OSP reported, and the SUV left the road, rolled down an embankment and landed on its roof in the median.
Drouillard was not wearing a seatbelt, according to state police, and the crash ejected him from the vehicle, killing him.
The crash did not close the highway. Personnel from Umatilla County Fire District No. 1 and the Oregon Department of Transportation assisted state police at the scene.
