The deadline for letters of endorsement for the May 20 election is 5 p.m. Wednesday, April. 30. Any letters received after the deadline will not be published in print or online.

We will publish the last letters on May 14.

Letters are limited to 250 words. The East Oregonian publishes local letters of endorsement on a first-come, first-served basis, and we reserve the right to limit the number of endorsement letters we publish per candidate. .

We institute a deadline for letters to the editor so we can be fair with all the letters we receive and allow for responses before Election Day, if necessary.
