Meet the new board members
A Meacham resident, Thornburg is passionate about giving back to the community, according to the press release announcing the new officers and directors. Over the years, she has volunteered in many capacities for several organizations, including the Pendleton Round-Up and Happy Canyon. When not working for the Pendleton School District or volunteering, she enjoys cooking, baking, watching Christmas movies or spending time in the woods on her property.
Born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii, LaBoy moved to the mainland 28 years ago and has since been an active and dedicated community member. He exhibits leadership and passion for local events, including as the barbecue director for the past three years during Pendleton Cattle Barons. He lives in Pendleton and works for the city of Pendleton’s water department.
While in grade school, Low began serving as a pennant bearer during Round-Up and later carried the pennants for the Hall of Fame with her sister during parades. As a Hall of Fame volunteer, her behind-the-scenes activities included cleaning tack and assisting with fundraisers. She was part of the Happy Canyon Night Show cast for years and assisted her husband, Wayne, when he was the Happy Canyon Indian director.
Born and raised in Pasco, Clark has dedicated more than a decade to volunteering for the Pendleton Round-Up, working in the Let ‘er Buck Room and supporting events year-round. Now the bar manager during Round-Up, she coordinates volunteers for the week. Clark lives near Hermiston, where she owns and operates Kimberly Rae Photography. She looks forward to serving as a Hall of Fame director while maintaining the traditions of the Let ‘er Buck Room.
After growing up in Pendleton, Herranen returned in 2018 with her husband and family. She is very involved in the community, including serving on the Pendleton Buckaroo Booster Club board, which supports and promotes Pendleton High School athletics and co-curricular activities. Herranen previously managed the Pendleton Round-Up & Happy Canyon retail store and has volunteered in many areas during Round-Up week.
