Unlock jigsaw skills during Puzzle Palooza in Hermiston, Athena

The inaugural Puzzle Palooza drew numerous participants on Oct. 16, 2024, at Hermiston City Hall. The popular event returns Feb. 19, 2025, at the Harkenrider Senior Activity Center, Hermiston. Also, the Athena Public Library is hosting a Puzzle Palooza on Feb. 22, 2025, at the library. Preregistration is required for both events.

UMATILLA COUNTY — Participants can piece things together during upcoming Puzzle Palooza events hosted by the Hermiston Public Library and the Athena Public Library.

In Hermiston, teams of up to four people — ages 12 and older — can put their jigsaw skills to the test in a contest to complete a 500-piece competition puzzle. The event is Feb. 19, 6-8 p.m. at the Harkenrider Senior Activity Center, 255 NE Second St., Hermiston. Puzzles, snacks and beverages are provided.

While the contest is free, advance registration is required via bit.ly/40yfa5e. Participants are encouraged to come up with creative team names. With limited space, a waitlist will be created when available slots are filled. For questions, call 541-567-2882.

In Athena, teams of three or four can complete during the inaugural Puzzle Palooza on Feb. 22, 10 a.m. to noon at the Athena Public Library, 418 E. Main St. The winning team will receive a 1,000-piece puzzle and each member will receive a $25 gift card.
