Graduation ceremony celebrates Roots of Success at EOCI

- Adults in custody participate in an environmental program at Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution, Pendleton. A graduation ceremony will celebrate those who competed the Roots of Success program on July 15, 2024, at EOCI. Those planning to attend must RSVP by 3 p.m. on July 11, 2024.
PENDLETON — Adults in custody will be recognized during a graduation ceremony for Roots of Success at Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution. The peer-led program highlights sustainability and promotes positive behavioral change and leadership development.
The ceremony is Monday, July 15, 1-2 p.m. at EOCI, 2500 Westgate, Pendleton. Check-in starts at noon.

A background check is required for those planning to attend. To RSVP, send an email to Chris Scarr, EOCI public information officer, via Christopher.A.Scarr@doc.oregon.gov by 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 11.
According to the Roots of Success website, the program is offered in high schools, youth programs, job training programs, reentry programs, prisons, jails, juvenile facilities and other workforce and education settings across the United States.
