PENDLETON — Oregon Senate District 29 hopeful Tania Wildbill has received approval to conduct an assembly of electors in an effort to get on the November ballot.
The Oregon Secretary of State Elections Division in a July 19 letter informed Wildbill, of Pendleton, she can hold the assembly to gather at least 250 signatures.
“Each signer must be an active registered voter at the time of signing,” according to the letter.
Wildbill’s assembly starts at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at the Pendleton Convention Center.
Wildbill must submit the signature sheet to the state Elections Division by Aug. 13 to ensure sufficient time for verification process prior to 5 p.m. on the filing deadline of Aug. 27.
Wildbill in 2023 declared she was running as a Democrat in the race then withdrew, refiled as a nonaffiliated candidate and withdrew again.
