GOBHI announces new CCO Medicaid Operations director

THE DALLES — Greater Oregon Behavioral Health Inc. announced Alex Covington as its new director of coordinated care organizations Medicaid Operations.

With a strong background in health care operations, Covington stepped into her new role Aug. 19, bringing extensive experience and leadership to the position, according to the press release from GOBHI.

“I’m excited to join GOBHI as the new CCO contract director of Medicaid Operations,” Covington said in the announcement. “This role feels like it will utilize my strengths and work experience while also aligning with my personal values.”

Covington served as the delegation and quality oversight manager at Health Share, where she played a pivotal role in collaborating with organizations to navigate regulatory landscapes and interpret CCO contracts.

Over her tenure, Covington built strong relationships with Moda Health and other community partners.

According to the announcement, Covington enjoys reading, fishing, razor clam digging and attending car shows.
