PENDLETON — For a chance to win door prizes, and enjoy free cookies and cocoa, head to the Hamley & Co. tree lighting event on Saturday, Nov. 30, 6-8 p.m. at 30 SE Court Ave. The tree will be illuminated at 7 p.m.

The indoor event also provides children with an opportunity to write letters to Santa Claus. Each child who pens his wish list to the jolly ol’ elf will receive a free game of bowling at Quaking Aspen Lanes at Wildhorse Resort & Casino.

Those who are shopping will receive a 30% discount on select items. Also, head to the front window display to take a tag from the giving tree. Gifts for needy children and youths in the community must be purchased and placed under the tree by Dec. 9.
