Veronica M. Ficenec, 84, died Aug. 1, 2023, at a local care facility. She was born in January 1939, in Cayuga, North Dakota. Recitation of the holy rosary will be Aug. 10, 7 p.m. at Burns Mortuary of Pendleton, 336 S.W. Dorion Ave., Pendleton. Mass of Christian Burial will be Aug. 11, 9 a.m. at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 740 S.W. Birch St., Pilot Rock. Burial will follow at the Pilot Rock Cemetery.
