The restoration of two parks used by protesters in the Occupy Portland movement will cost over $85,000, Portland city officials say.

The Parks and Recreation Department Wednesday released a detailed list of the costs involved in restoring Chapman and Lownsdale Squares.

Umpqua bank has donated $25,000 to help restore the squares and other citizens have given another $8,000, but the department urged others to give to the Portland Parks Foundation through its website

One of the largest expenses was repairing the Lownsdale bathroom at an estimated cost of $28,000.

The replacement of two benches and the repair of seven others was estimated at $16,500.
