Farewell, Pendleton

Brittany Norton joined the East Oregonian on Monday as the newspaper’s summer reporting intern.

Norton is a 2018 graduate from the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication. She graduated with bachelor’s degrees in journalism and media studies, and has an interest in feature writing. She has written for student-run publications Ethos Magazine and OR Magazine, and has published freelance work in Eugene Weekly and 1859 Magazine. She will be joining the newspaper through the Charles Snowden for Excellence in Journalism program, which is run through the University of Oregon.

Norton is a native of Eugene who likes to explore Oregon’s outdoors through hiking trails and camping trips in her spare time.

Norton said she is excited to be living and working in Pendleton for the next ten weeks, and getting to know the people that live there. And she is especially eager to write about the Pendleton Round-Up.
