Gwendolyn “Terrie” Theresa Hesler lost her courageous battle on Tuesday, July 21st, 2015, with her loving family by her side. Terrie was born August 15, 1948, in Pendleton, Oregon, to Frank and Clara Walker.

Terrie lived the majority of her life in Tri-Cities, Washington. She graduated from Kennewick High School and later got her degree from Modern Business College. On November 18, 1967, she married Duane Hollan and had three daughters to whom she devoted her life.

On February 14, 1987, she married her true love, Dennis Hesler, with whom she built a wonderful life. Terrie began working for the Kennewick School District in 2003 where she made lifelong friends. Terrie was loved by many and has touched many lives. She is known for her great advice and amazing support. Besides her family, her greatest passion was going to her favorite beach and rock hunting with her sisters.

Terrie is survived by her husband Dennis L. Hesler; daughters Nicole Wodehouse, Lori Pope (Jarrett) and Wendi Dorchak (Rob), all of Kennewick; son Larry Hesler (Dawn) of Bonney Lake, Wash.; stepdaughter Tammy Miller (Brandon) of St. Maries, Idaho; grandchildren Jantzen Wodehouse, Jayden Hollan, Karsyn Wodehouse, Tanner Pope, Kendall Pope, Cody Hesler, Dylan Anderson, Kiana Hesler, Kalyssa Hesler, Skyler Hill and Grahm Hill, and great-grandson Jody. She is also survived by her sister Pamela Knode (Randy), brother Gary Walker (Donna), and brother-in-law Jack Sainsbury, all of Kennewick, and sister Debra Eldred (Jim) of Pendleton, Ore.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends we consider family.

Terrie was preceded in death by her father Frank Walker, mother Clara Walker, sister Cheryl Sainsbury and son-in-law Jody Wodehouse.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 1st, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at Mueller’s Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union Street, Kennewick, with viewing on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Riverview Heights Cemetery.
