Nancy Louise Brown was born on January 6, 1951, in Gold Beach, Oregon, to parents James and Peggy Burkett Lindberg. She died on April 19, 2015, at her home in Echo, Oregon, at the age of 64 years.

Nancy lived in Oregon, France, Georgia, Washington, Germany and Texas. She moved to Stanfield, Oregon, in 1985 and later to Echo, Oregon, in 1999, where she has lived since. Nancy worked at Lamb Weston for 13 years and then for the Simmons Agency in Hermiston, Oregon, for a couple of years. She was a volunteer and committee member for Relay For Life, a member of A.C.S. CAN, member of Lung Cancer Alliance, Stanfield Moose Lodge, and one of the founding parents of STAND TALL. Nancy enjoyed crafts, tying flies, reading, making cards, and knitting.

She is survived by her children: Charles Ray Craig Jr., Jennifer and Jeff Johnson, Echo, Ore., Valerie and Howard Califf, Umatilla, Ore., Elizabeth and Steven Castillo, Umatilla, Ore., and Rachael Craig, Echo, Ore.; stepdaughter Barbara Nagy, Centerville, Wash.; mother Peggy Lindberg, Stanfield, Ore.; sisters Roesealee Combs and her husband John, Hooks, Texas, and Donna Lindberg, Port Orford, Ore.; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; uncle Kenny Burkett, Irrigon, Ore.; two nieces, one nephew, and many cousins.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father; first husband Charles Craig; second husband Robert Brown; and stepson Robert Brown Jr.

A celebration of life potluck gathering will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Nathan Bard Park, Stanfield, Oregon.

Those who wish may make contributions in Nancy’s memory to the Shriner’s Hospital or St. Judes Hospital.
