Faron Forrest Reynolds, 49, of Milton-Freewater died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at his home.

Our dad, Faron, was born Nov. 14, 1964, in Hoopa, California, to Forrest and Sharon Reynolds. He spent his youth with his family as they traveled between logging communities in the Northwest. Eventually they settled back in Wallowa County where the majority of the Reynolds family farmed and ranched.

He attended school in Enterprise, Oregon, where he would graduate in 1983. That same year also brought the birth of his two children, Tiffany and Terry.

On March 30, 1986, dad married Robin Paris in Walla Walla, Washington. In 2004, his life was again brightened with the birth of this first grandchild, a baby girl, Dakota.

Dad spent nearly 30 years in the healthcare field where his compassion and humor touched the lives of thousands of people when they needed it most. He was also a member of the Milton-Freewater Fire Department where he would eventually achieve the ranks of captain and chief. He tirelessly dedicated himself to both of these careers to provide for his family.

Dependable and devoted, Dad never hesitated to come to the aid of a friend or stranger. Welcoming people to live with our family and dropping everything at a moments notice to drive through the night became common occurrences. The friendships and bonds that he forged are a lasting testament to the love that he displayed for everyone he knew.

Dads passions in life centered around his family and our mutual love of the outdoors. He would never hesitate to go hunting or fishing at the drop of a hat, pausing just long enough to load up the dogs that shared in all his adventures.

He introduced many people to the beauty of the Grande Ronde and Wenaha River country of the Blue Mountains, some who had never fished, hunted or even seen snow until he hauled them to the hills where he grew up. We will be forever grateful for the influence he had on our lives.

Dad is survived by his wife, Robin Reynolds; daughter Tiffany (Corum) DeLyria and their daughter, Dakota, of Enterprise, Oregon; son Terry (Amber) Reynolds of Milton-Freewater, Oregon; his mother, Sharon Reynolds of Hermiston; and brother Brad Reynolds of Hermiston, Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Forrest Reynolds, Dec. 23, 1986; and twin granddaughters, Kimber and Sarah DeLyria, Sept. 15, 2011.

A memorial was held Oct. 9 at the Milton-Freewater Community Building. Private inurnment will be held at a later date at Bartlett Union Cemetery in Troy, Oregon. Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home in Milton-Freewater is in charge of arrangements.
