Pat Springer passed away June 4 at her home in Moro, Oregon, after a short illness. She was born March 17, 1933, in Eagle Pass, Texas, to Louise and Murl OKeefe.
Pat met Leroy Springer in Ashland, Oregon, in 1952, and they married and moved to Eastern Oregon, living in Heppner, Pilot Rock and Pendleton. Pat graduated from Eastern Oregon University with a teaching degree and went on to earn her nursing degree. She worked at the Community Hospital in Pendleton and went into private nursing.
Pat and Leroy loved travel and they took many special trips to South America and throughout the United States. She was an accomplished homemaker and gardener; a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her husband Leroy of Moro; sons Michael (Kay) Springer and Kelly Springer of Pendleton; sisters Sharon Crostick and Peggy Baker of Tucson; and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Leslie Suter, daughter Sandra Staudenmier and son Terry Springer.
