The Weston-McEwen baseball team, which won Special District 6 regular season and district tournament titles, had vast representation on the all-SD6 team.

The seventh-ranked TigerScots (19-4) earned seven picks in the eight-team league. Seniors Tyler Simmons (infield) and Lance Thacker (infield) Dustin DeDios (outfield) and Jerad Croswell (utility) were first-team selections.

Dufur senior hurler and slugger Cole Parke was named the Player of the Year.

Pilot Rock junior pitcher Jacob Pierce was also named to the first-team. The Rockets, who finished fourth in the league, also earned seven overall picks.

Heppner was led by second-team selections Andrew Hatfield (catcher), C.J. Kindle (outfield), Brian Rill (utility) and Patrick Collins designated hitter.

Condon/Wheeler had one second-team selection in pitcher Mitchel Hassing.

Weston-McEwen begins its run for a state title today when it plays host to Country Christian in the first round of playoffs today at 4 p.m.

Bailey leads locals on all-EOL team

Echo senior Megan Bailey led the way for locals on the all-Eastern Oregon League softball team.

In the Cougars first year in the 3A classification, Bailey was named a first-team all-EO infielder and second-team pitcher.

Riverside also had a pair of first-team selections in junior infielder Marissa Pratt and senior utility player Ariana Corpus.

Vale senior Sacha Morcum was named the Player of the Year.
