Pro rodeo makes debut on Outdoor Life Network

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Outdoor Life Network (OLN) has announced its 2003 broadcast schedule for the rodeos of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association which is making its debut on the cable network.

The PRCA events that will appear on OLN’s prime-time schedule include stops on the ProRodeo Tour and the early rounds of its Finales; the Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo, which features a mixture of world-ranked and “weekend warrior” cowboys; the ProRodeo Tour Championship, which features the top competitors from the Winter and Summer ProRodeo Tour Finales; and several other major PRCA rodeos.

With the first airdate Sunday and the last in late November, OLN’s coverage extends over 10 months. Each event’s initial, hour-long airdate is during prime time at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday evenings, with an encore prime-time presentation on the following Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET. Each show will have at least two encore presentations.

The announcing teams for the broadcasts of the ProRodeo Tour were also named. The team includes Jeff Medders, Jennifer Douglas Smith, Cody Snyder, the 1983 world bull riding champion and a four-time qualifier for the National Finals Rodeo, and Heppner’s Butch Knowles.
