JOHN DAY – A graveside service for Beverly M. Brazil will be held at 11 a.m. today at St. Andrews Cemetery in Canyon City.
Mrs. Bra-zil, 64, of John Day, died Monday, May 26, 2003, at her home.
She was born Sept. 8, 1938, at Vancouver, Brit-ish Columbia. When she moved to Grant County with her family in 1952, she lived at Dayville and graduated from Dayville High School.
On June 5, 1956, she married Charles M. “Punk” Brazil at Winnemucca, Nev. The couple lived in John Day where she was involved in the real estate business for many years
Before she became ill, Mrs. Brazil was active at the Senior Center and enjoyed caring for the elderly, taking them on errands and out to lunch.
She loved birds and gardening, camping with her family and four-wheeling.
She is survived by her husband; son, John of John Day; daughter, Debbie Morrison of Pendleton; sisters, Shirley Stone and Brenda Schmickof Murphy; and five grandchildren.
