HEPPNER – A graveside service for Lydia J. Wilson will be held at the Heppner Masonic Cemetery on Monday at 11 a.m.
Mrs. Wilson, 92, of Heppner, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at Good Samaritan Center in Hermiston.
She was born April 1, 1911, at Monument, to William and Lillian Mathamber Cox. She attended the Top School near Monument.
On Oct. 17, 1930, she married Perry Wilson at Fossil. The couple lived in the Monument area until 1950 when they moved to Hardman. Mr. Wilson died in 1957. Mrs. Wilson moved into Heppner a short time later and lived there until 1996 when she moved to Hermiston.
She enjoyed dancing and gardening.
Survivors include daughters, Grace Baker of Lexington, Lolah Wilson of North Plains, and Betty Breeding of Gresham; sons, Tom Wilson of Heppner, and Floyd Wilson of Irrigon; brother, Carl Cox of Monument; sister, Wilma Mabe of Milwaukie; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-granchildren. Sons, Johnnie Wilson, Ronnie Wilson, and Billy Wilson, and five brothers and two sisters.
