PORTLAND – A graveside funeral service for Gerald Donald Jones Jr. will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Hermiston Cemetery.

Mr. Jones, 45, of Portland, a Hermiston native, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003, at Meridian Park Hospital in Tualatin from complications of a brain tumor.

He was born June 12, 1958, at Hermiston to Gerald Donald and Edith June Myrick Jones.

He graduated from Hermiston High School in 1976.

He served with the Army and was honorably discharged in 1979 then began working for Pacific Northwest Bell. He continued later as a sales and service representative for Qwest until his death.

He was a member of the Baptist Church in the St. Johns area of Portland.

He was described as a loving father.

Survivors include his daughter, Keely Jones of Portland; sisters, Judy Hough of

Victorville, Calif., Anna Hopper of Hermiston, and Sandra Jones of Walla Walla, two nephews, two nieces, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
