Baxter – Thompson

Colleen Marie Baxter and Steven Arrow Thompson were married Aug. 9, 2003, in a double-ring ceremony in the garden of their Springfield residence.
The Rev. James Bradshaw performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Rose Ann Baxter of Grand Rapids, Mich. Thompson is the son of Edith and Rodney Thompson of Pendleton.
Maid of honor was Suzanne Gravette of Eugene. Christina Thompson of Boise, the bridegroom’s sister, was the bridesmaid.
Best man was Thad Brown of Pendleton. The bride’s brother, Gregory Baxter of Grand Rapids was the groomsman.
The bride wore a white matte satin ball gown with an embroidered bodice and chapel train. She carried bouquet of mixed flowers.
The bride graduated in 1982 from East Kentwood High School in Kentwood, Mich. and in 1986 from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree. She is a communications manager for Pacific Source Health Plans.
The bridegroom graduated in 1985 from Pendleton High School and in 1991 from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering. He also earned an associate’s degree from Blue Mountain Community College in 1987. He is a senior mechanical engineer for Jamco Engineering.
Following an Alaskan cruise, the couple resides at Springfield.
