Becky and Ron Thomas of Tacoma, Wash., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Dawn Thomas of Tacoma, to 2nd Lt. Garrett Lawrence Penny, U.S. Air Force, San Antonio, Texas.

Jennifer Thomas is a 2001 graduate of Life Christian Academy in Tacoma, and a 2005 graduate of Washington State University with a bachelor’s degree in interior design.

Penny, the son of Dr. Janet and John Penny of Pendleton, is a 1999 graduate of Pendleton High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in natural resources and forestry at Washington State University in 2004. He is stationed at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Okla.

The couple plan a June 19, 2005, wedding at Olympia, Wash.
