December Lynn Shoemake and Philip Edward Daugherty were wed on Dec. 16, 2006 at the Moon Palace in Cancun, Mexico.

The bride is the daughter of Marilee Evans-Wildgrove of Sparks, Nev. The groom is the son of Edward and Rose Daugherty of Greensboro, N.C.

The bride’s sister, Jennifer Barrette of Pendleton, was matron of honor. Another sister, Rachael Shoemake of Sparks, Nev., served as bridesmaid. The groom’s best friend, Bill DeWolf of Philadelphia was the best man. The groom’s college roommate, Craig Wisniewski of Greenville, N.C., was groomsman.

The bride graduated in 2000 from Pendleton High School and earned a bachelor’s of science and nursing degree from Winston-Salem State University in North Carolina. She is a registered nurse at University Hospital in Charlotte, N.C., working in the emergency room.

The groom graduated from Eastern Guilford High School in Greensboro, N.C., and from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He is a pharmaceutical representative for Pfizer.

The couple now resides in Charlotte, N.C.
