Dr. Kris and Tina Peterson of Hermiston announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Peterson of Vancouver, Wash., to Skye Dahl of Beaverton.

The bride-elect graduated from Walla Walla Valley Academy in College Place, Wash. She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a minor in graphic design in 2001 from St. Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich. She is a teacher with the Hockinson School District in Brush Prairie, Wash.

The groom to be is the son of Susan Jaquith of Keizer and Claude Dahl of Albany. He graduated in 1999 from Salem Academy and earned a bachelor’s degree in business finance with a minor in communications in 2003 from Oregon State University in Corvallis. He is a financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial in Portland.

The couple will be married July 7, 2007 in Portland.
