HERMISTON – Anna “Jane” McKitrick, former local business owner, died April 16, 2007, at Sun Terrace. She was 80. A private family memorial will be held.

Mrs. McKitrick was born Dec. 5, 1926, to Joseph and Laura Yates Wash in Ekalaka, Mont., where she was raised.
She married Walter McKitrick on Sept. 2, 1947. They operated a cattle ranch in the John Day area and later farmed wheat in the Pendleton area. In the 1960s, they moved to Hermiston where they owned the Richfield Service Station and the Husky Service Station.
Mrs. McKitrick was a member of the Frontier Cowboys’ Association and was an avid Seattle Mariners fan.
She is survived by son Boyd McKitrick of Anchorage, Alaska; sister Aloha Rosenberg of Pendleton; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mrs. McKitrick was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters Della, Irene and Louise ; and brothers Harold, Francis and Rodney.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
