Terrel and Katherine Tovey

Terrel Reynolds Tovey and Katherine Morgan were married on June 14, 1949, at the Logan, Utah, Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They lived in Rathdrum and Blackfoot, Idaho, before moving to Hermiston. They have been area residents for 35 years and are active members of the LDS Church.
A retired agricultural engineer and irrigation specialist, Terrel enjoys reading and spending time with his family and spends countless hours helping people. Katherine is a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, enjoys quilting and sewing and makes the best rolls and apple dumplings.
Their extended family includes 11 children: Randy Tovey of Irrigon; Rod Tovey of Pocatello, Idaho; Annette Tovey of Boise; Jeff Tovey of Sun Valley, Idaho; Kathy Hensel and Susan Taylor, both of Walla Walla; Alaina Lemmon of Lexington; Doug Tovey of Roseburg; Sheri Hill of Moses Lake, Wash.; Lester Tovey of Springfield; and the late Richard Tovey. The Toveys also have 46 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
