OBITUARY: Linda S. Margerum

WALLA WALLA – Linda S. Margerum, 63, of Walla Walla died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, at the Park Manor Rehabilitation Center in Walla Walla. At her request no funeral service will be held. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Odd Fellows section of Mountain View Cemetery in Walla Walla.

Ms. Margerum was born Nov. 26, 1944, in Walla Walla to William H. and Gertrude C. Williams Margerum. She grew up and attended school in Walla Walla, graduating from Walla Walla High School. After graduation she began a 30-year career in retail sales, working for Bendix Music and later Sopers Leather Goods. After their closures she began a course in general business, and became a certified receptionist from the Center for Sharing in Walla Walla. She then attended Walla Walla Community College for one year.

She enjoyed community service and volunteered as a day care worker at the Senior Center. She also loved traveling, reading (especially thrillers), crafts until she became blind, and caring for her pets. She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Walla Walla.

Ms. Margerum is survived by her sister, Pat Margerum of Walla Walla.
