Jim Sewell was a bit overwhelmed when Pacific Northwest Bell asked permission to shoot a film in his restaurant. But Sewell agreed in a moment because the film is to promote tourism and show its effect on the local economy. The Sewells not only closed Circle S Barbecue to the public at noon Sunday they fed the film crew for free. Pilot Rock Mayor John Stanley, who works for Pacific Northwest Bell, suggested the restaurant to company public relations officials. Stanley, his wife Robin and their sons, Jordan and Keven, were written into the script as a family traveling through Pendleton and stopping for a meal at the Circle S. The film, due to come out about Sept. 1, will be available on loan for use in meetings, by chambers of commerce and other interested parties.
