Carol and Bill Code, owners of Roosters Restaurant in Pendleton, recently decorated the Roosters Restaurant Suite for Willowbrook Terrace’s Medicare/Rehab Unit.

The room was painted in contrasting tan colors and was accented with a border with roosters.

The Codes matched the burgundy, green and beiges in the wallpaper with solid burgundy sheets and a multi-colored spread.

Wall decorations include a large wood clock, red stars, a rooster picture and black and white window valances.

Administrator Marilyn Kennedy was excited to see the finished room.

“Many residents will have a home-like room to recuperate in,” she said.

Carol Code said it meant a lot to her to participate in this project. Giving back to the community in this way has warmed her heart and she knows many Pendleton people will enjoy the room for years to come.

The Roosters Suite is the fourth room in a series of rooms being decorated by community groups, organizations and businesses to fulfill the facility’s new culture change direction of resident-centered care in a home-like atmosphere.

A sign designating the room Roosters Suite will be placed on the entrance the room.
