I support reelection of Bob Blanc to the commission of the Port of Umatilla.

Bob is a bright, dedicated, and thoughtful individual. He has a wealth of experience in community and regional affairs. And he will make certain the port stays relevant in the economic future of our port district.

I know Bob Blanc as a long-time neighbor and good friend. His 30-plus years of work as an agribusiness owner and operator in Hermiston and Pendleton acquainted him with local industry, and regional and national markets. His agribusiness provided dozens of jobs for the citizens of Umatilla County.

His work on the boards of St. Anthony Hospital and Pendleton School District 16R focused him on the importance of health and education in our community, and the jobs required to make those operations successful.

Throughout this time, Bob also worked tirelessly with our elected leaders at the local, state and federal levels to accomplish economic growth. He has the experience necessary to continue the good work of the Port of Umatilla.

Please vote to reelect Bob Blanc for port commissioner on May 20.
