Umatilla Electric Cooperative hosts annual meeting April 19

HERMISTON — The Umatilla Electric Cooperative invites members and one guest to attend its 88th annual meeting Saturday, April 19, at the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center in Hermiston.
This year’s theme, “Charging Forward,” reflects UEC’s commitment to advancing through challenges while continuing to serve its members with strength and innovation, according to the announcement about the meeting,
The event will feature a state-of-the-cooperative address from UEC leadership, the announcement of board of directors election results for Districts 1 and 2, and highlights of achievements over the past year.
Doors to the event open at 3:45 p.m., with the program beginning promptly at 5 p.m. Seating
is open and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The meeting is free to all UEC members and one guest, and no preregistration is required — members simply sign in upon arrival.
Attendees can look forward to an evening featuring local entertainment by Brewer’s Grade
Band featuring Zac Grooms, a catered dinner and the chance to win nearly 30 door prizes, including a $600 bill credit, a Pendleton Woolen Mills blanket and an electric lawn mower. Winners must be present to claim prizes.
