I am supporting R. J. Blanc for the position on the Port of Umatilla Commission where he has served for eight years. I have known R. J. for over 30 years. We first met when we were in Hermiston Rotary together.

When I came to Pendleton as superintendent of schools, R. J. was on the Pendleton School Board. He is a person of high integrity, and he was only interested in facilitating what would best serve the students of the school district.

R. J. was the owner operator of Pioneer Implement, a John Deere company. He owned stores in Pendleton and Hermiston. R. J. Blanc knows agriculture from the ground up. This is very valuable knowledge to have on the port commission. The citizens of Umatilla County need a person of his skill set and knowledge on the commission. Please join me in voting for R. J. Blanc to continue to serve on the Port of Umatilla Commission.
