PENDLETON — A crash Thursday, April 10, has closed the westbound lanes of Interstate 84 between La Grande and Pendleton.

The Oregon Department of Transportation at about 2:30 p.m. April 10 reported the crash occurred near milepost 222 on Cabbage Hill, leading to the closure of I-84 westbound between  Exit 265 in La Grande and Exit 224, 8 miles east of Pendleton. ODOT reported there is no estimate for when the highway will reopen, as a truck is blocking both lanes. Crews are working to clear the area and reopen I-84 as soon as possible.

Oregon Highway 204 (Tollgate Highway) also is closed to interstate traffic; only local freight and passenger vehicles are allowed.

ODOT suggested drivers delay their travel or be prepared for delays and stick to main highways.
