Soroptimists offer career education program to Hermiston area high school girls

HERMISTON — A program coordinated by Soroptimist International of the Greater Hermiston Area will include sessions on exploring career fields, setting goals, turning failures into success and budgeting/managing finances.

In its second year, “Dream It, Be It,” a career support program, is open to area high school girls. The free event is Saturday, March 8, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Conference Center No. 1-2 at Good Shepherd Medical Center, 610 NW 11th St., Hermiston. Participants will receive mentoring from local women representing a variety of career fields. In addition to the educational component, the event features a light breakfast and lunch, prize drawings and a gift from Lululemon
