Red Cross blood drives in Eastern Oregon through mid-December

- Numerous collection sites are hosting American Red Cross blood drives this fall across the Eastern Oregon region. Donors can give six times a year, with a minimum of 56 days between donations.
EASTERN OREGON — Blood donors help patients of all ages, including accident and burn victims, surgery and organ transplant patients and those battling cancer, and the American Red Cross has scheduled blood drives at several places in Northeastern Oregon over the next month and a half.
According to the American Red Cross website, every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood. Donors can participate every 56 days, up to six times per year.

Baker City
- Nov. 4, noon to 6 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2625 Hughes Lane.
- Nov. 5, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2625 Hughes Lane.
Grant County
- Oct. 30, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Prairie City School, 740 Overholt St.
La Grande
- Nov. 6, 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Hoke College Center at Eastern Oregon University.
- Nov. 19, noon to 6 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1802 Gekeler Lane.
