PENDLETON — The Pendleton Friends of the Library is looking for help to assist with its annual book sale Oct. 24-26 at the Pendleton Convention Center. It features more than 50,000 books and media, including children’s books, adult fiction/non-fiction, music CDs and DVDs.

According to a press release from PFOL Board President Tyler Johnson, there are a variety of ways people can help before, during and after the event. Volunteers are needed Oct. 21 to assist with loading books up at Pendleton City Hall and unloading them at the convention center.

Tasks on Oct. 22-23 include unpacking and arranging the books for the sale. Also, two-hour time slots are needed each day of the sale. Johnson said youth groups, teams or clubs are especially helpful with packing and moving boxes after the sale ends on Oct. 26.
