Dionysus was a violent Greek god of narcissism.
In Greek mythology, Dionysus’s parents were Zeus, king of the gods, and Semele, the mortal daughter of King Cadmus of Thebes. Dionysus married Ariadne, the daughter of King Minos of Crete.

The ancient Greeks associated Dionysus with violent and unpredictable behavior, especially after drinking too much wine. He was also known for ritual madness, vice and the worship of self.
You can read the old accounts of his conduct. I have; the first time was in sixth grade.
Nowhere will you find Dionysus as an apostle of peace, love and truth. Nowhere does he expose the absurdity of violence. Nonsense.
The God of Christianity does all of that, in opposition to the likes of Dionysus. That’s why our secular, narcissistic culture uses Dionysus as a vehicle to mock Christ — attacking Christianity.
Christianity stands in the way. For all the talk of “inclusivity” and “diversity,” Christianity isn’t welcome at the table.
God help us.
