AQUATIC DOLLAR DAY, noon to 8 p.m., Pendleton Aquatic Center, 1901 NW Carden Ave. One buck gets you a day at the pool and a soft drink. This event brings out a big crowd to enjoy the pool’s water slides, zero-depth kiddie pool, 50-meter pool, and dive well. Bring your own food and toys. (541-276-0104). Wednesday, Aug. 7.

DOGGIE DIP DAY, 5-7 p.m., Pendleton Aquatic Center, 1901 NW Carden Ave. After the chlorine is drained from the pools for the season, pooches of all kinds are welcome to come splash and play in the water. Cost: $4 per dog. (541-276-0104). Wednesday, Aug. 28.
