Malheur National Forest closes roads, campgrounds due to fires

BURNS — The Malheur National Forest has closed two campgrounds and the surrounding area, including sections of several roads, northwest of Burns due to the Falls Fire burning on the Emigrant Creek Ranger District.

The closure will be in effect until further notice.

The Emigrant Creek and Falls campgrounds are closed, as are the following roads:

• Road 43: fom the junction of Road 47 north to the junction with Road 4780.

• Road 4330: From the junction with Road 43 to the junction with Road 4332.

• Road 4332: From the junction with Road 43 northwest to the junction with Road 41.

• Road 4340: From the junction with Road 41 east to the junction with Road 43.

• Road 4780: From the junction with Road 43 to the junction with Road 4310.

• Road 4310: From the junction with Road 4780 south to the junction with Road 43.

Road 41 will remain open.

The Malheur has also closed the Craft Cabin Trail, No. 319, northeast of Burns, due to the Upper Pine Fire.
