Eastbound lanes of I-84 closed between Pendleton and La Grande

LA GRANDE — The eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 are closed Thursday, July 11, between La Grande and Pendleton due to a semitrailer crash.
According to a press release from the Oregon Department of Transportation, the wreck prompted the closure of I-84 eastbound between Exit 216, 7 miles east of Pendleton, and Exit 265, 4 miles east of La Grande.
The crash occurred near milepost 235, according to ODOT. The truck was carrying apples, according to Trip Check, which spilled onto the road. First responders are on scene to clean up spilled diesel.
The closure is expected to last several hours, according to ODOT.
