George Fox University, a private Christian school based in Newberg, announced June 13, 2024, that several local students were recognized for academic achievements during spring semester.

NEWBERG — The spring 2024 commencement ceremony at George Fox University included Ellaynah Brown, of Pendleton, who received a bachelor of arts in business administration.

In addition, Brown was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2024 semester for earning a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Other local students receiving the academic honor are Becca Edmonds and Elizabeth Reeder, both nursing students from Pendleton; and Blane Peal, an engineering student from Weston.
