ANDERSON, S.C. — The 263rd Army Air and Missile Defense Command, South Carolina National Guard, recognized the promotion of U.S. Army Lt. Col. Tim Cassel to colonel, on April 6, 2024 in Anderson, South Carolina.

Cassel is a 1989 graduate of Weston-McEwen High School. He is the son of the late Irmgard “Irma” Cassel and David Chester Cassel.

During the ceremony, Cassel was pinned by his wife, Bobbie Cassel; daughter, Haley Cassel; and her fiance, U.S. Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Austin Shirley; brother, Steve Cassel; and mother-in-law, Ginger Goodall.
