PENDLETON — Alicia Kay Reynen has entered the 2024 Pendleton City Council election race, hoping to represent Ward 3.

Reynen works for Uber and has previously held jobs as a senior caregiver, a server and a cashier. She earned a General Educational Development diploma from Blue Mountain Community College.

Reynen has not served in government. She is the second person to enter the race for Ward 3 and filed for candidacy on Feb. 15.

Including Reynen, five people have filed for candidacy as city councilors. Two have entered the mayoral race to replace John Turner, who is retiring from the role at the end of the year, when his term concludes.

Residents can file to enter the primary election by March 12, and for the general election starting June 5. Pendleton City Council positions are nonpartisan.
