Janice and David Florea

Janice Mays (Barnes) and David Florea were married by officiant Jennifer Freeburg on Sept. 10, 2023, at the Highlander Golf Course, East Wenatchee, Washington. The couple resides in Wenatchee.

The bride was given away by her daughter, Ashley Fechner, and son, Jerad Barnes. Emoree Mae Fechner served as flower girl and Griffin Barnes was the ring bearer. Entertainment was provided by D&D Productions.

The bride is the daughter of Dewey “Bud” Mays, of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Belle Whaley Mays, of Sevierville, Tennessee; both are deceased. She is a 1980 graduate of Cypress Lake High School, Fort Myers, Florida. She also studied cosmetology, is a master esthetician and is a licensed instructor and apprenticeship educator. She owns Tranquility Day Spa in Wenatchee.

The groom is the son of Clarence “Sonny” Florea, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and Linda Moore Reid Florea, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; both deceased. He is a 1984 graduate of Heppner High School and a former Hermiston resident. He works at Weinstein Beverage in Wenatchee. He also is a musician and performs/records with his band, Coventry.
