UMATILLA COUNTY — The Athena and Hermiston branches of the Bank of Eastern Oregon are holding school supply drives for local elementary students.

People are invited to make donations through Aug. 15. Items can be dropped off during regular business hours in Athena, 310 Main St., or Hermiston, 1475 N. First St. The supplies will be distributed later in August to local schools.

In addition, both branches will hold drawings for several backpacks filled with supplies. Community members with students in elementary school are invited to stop by and fill out a ticket for a chance to win. You do not need to be a Bank of Eastern Oregon customer to participate.
